m To put this in perspective, the Russian ships are a Frigate, a tanker and an ocean going tug for breakdowns (the Russians use the for pretty much all ship deployments) and a sub.

It of pretty much zero threat, the Zircons missile type it carries have already been successfully shot down in Ukraine by Patriot and Samp/t. Those on US ships have a better chance, as they are more advanced.

1) I'm sure Putin is smart enough to know what happens when you mess with Americas boats. 2) If he wanted to attack someone in the USA it would be a blue state. They are the ones voting to fund a war against him. Last thing he wants to do is pick an unnessisary fight with Florida and Texas. If he blew up Obama's house I don't think anyone would bat an eye lash over it, but if he messed with Florida man it would be a big problem for him. Florida will vote for Trump. Trump will cut funding to Ukraine. Then Ukraine has no more pew pew.

If they were to nuke us it would be via submarines not a ship in the open that is actively in the media. Putin attacking the US or not comes down to his personal psychology which no one but Putin knows. If he is okay with ending the world he would attack, otherwise probably not.

Not a chance. Putin is within his right to visit a country that allows him, such as Cuba. He is a bad dude to people who have little chance against him, but not against a power such as America! And his visit gives us a chance to see everything those ships have and to measure all the electronics to be able to recognize them even when the ships are not close enough to see. Plus all the American sailors will be taking pictures and sending them hoe to their girlfriends.
He knows Biden will not do anything and besides the US military has been decimated. If he was going to make a move , this is the time. If Trump is re-elected he knows that he will not roll over and play dead.
