Have you ever deliberately tried to stay off the internet for a time?

And i mean no internet, no emails, social media, nothing.

And i also don't mean the internet was out either. i mean you stayed off the internet intentionally for whatever reason.

Also how long did you go without it?

I never did it deliberately. it was because of an outage

I did try that once a long time ago for maybe a couple of days. There were moments where it felt nice here and there, but other times I felt like I really needed to check my emails or at least see what was happening in the world even if I didn't want to talk to anyone online. No doubt, I hate the way we're so attached to technology and how much it is integrated into our daily lives, but in today's world it is virtually impossible to stay off the internet.

Never tried it, but there were those 25 years or so before it became a "thing". (When I wouldn't have known that it was a "thing" to call something a "thing"!) It was groovy! C:

I've done it while travelling, my phone not having access to the internet while out during the day and only have enough bandwidth yo pick up emails at the hotel, by the second day I was leaving my phone in the rooms safe, as it was not worth carrying it during the day.

About 2 years ago I was challenged to go 11 days without the internet, was quite good. Didn't have to worry about my phone didn't worry about my emails no social media. I'm about ready to do the same again but totally leave Facebook. It has gone downhill when they try to control who your Friends are.

I've done that a couple of times. It was nice and it gave me time to focus on other things. It also gave me some peace of mind.
