I doubt much of anyone did. We all know all we need to know about them and they were both exactly who we thought they were.

As a political scientist I can tell you that less than 1% actually change their party allegiance after debates. Your affiliations has to do with your what values your mind has cemented during your formative years and these are psychologically known to "lock down" during adolescence. Meaning we as people are extremely hard to change regardless of input. Our choices for what party we will vote for is statistically decided at the very start of elections, and if changes occur they occur right before the elections long after debates. And when they occur, changes are usually intra-party rather than block-changing. As in, we usually change but stick in our lane, one right wing politician to another, but rarely from right wing to left wing. Although of course, this might be changing given the new political climate and the continous end of relevancy for the old right and left wing model, and the increase of the GAL-TAN scale.
