Is there a perception in America that white people are less likely to hold pride in their specific origins compared to other ethnicities?

I’m particularly talking about people’s perception of indigenous Europeans in America

White Americans are often ashamed to be white. They also don't know much about their own history/ethnic heritage. You can be a mix of totally different white ethnicities, but believe you're just "white" and that whites have no culture at all.

Strange question if you have ever talked to Americans when they are over in UK, Europe. Pretty much everyone can tell you the year their relation left for America and the town they left from. Even more if it’s having roots in Scotland.

White Americans do not have to have pride in anything. Why? Because they have accomplished almost everything in the world. Look around you. If you see something good, it is likely that they did it.

Asians have almost exclusively developed American ideas. Yes, the Chinese and Japanese are good engineers. Americans invented almost everything.

Such as slavery/405 years of oppression of African Americans, the Holocaust, the dispossession/slaughter of Indigenous Peoples, laissez-faire capitalism which has caused a rich Northern/Western world and far poorer Eastern/Southern world, etc. Yeah, guess the white lad has LOTS of great accomplishments.

Unless you're born into an strong ethnic community where there's a high concentration this is probably true. Most Americans are MUTTS and consider themselves American before anything. But to steal a line from a movie. Nothing is more loyal or more loveable than the mutt.

Yes and no. If it is a specific country someone is being proud of, that's actually pretty common, but pride in just being generically white is a little weird.

I'm pretty sure there are social studies that show whites are the least prideful of their race and the least supportive of their own race.
