From my point of view, it sounds good on paper, but the main problem is that it allows any ignorant individual or individuals who are willfully stupid to vote and have their votes matter just as much as those with real world adulting experience and enough brain cells to understand the consequences involving higher taxes or inflation.

The scales on which modern governments work are scarcely comparable to ANY human intellect; restricting it to people who could grok all of it would mean letting four academic voices steer the whole country.

I disagree. Even though the electorate is largely comprised of incredibly stupid, opinionated, short sighted people; the risk of harm we would create by ignoring their opinions is too great to justify taking the risk.

I would rather a bunch of morons be able to express their awful opinions than entrust fewer people with decision-making abilities and pass tone-deaf policies.

the laws and constitution should've already been established and now it's being changed back and forth to suit the selfish needs of individuals and getting others caught in the crossfire

Universal suffrage is fine as long as you ensure everyone has access to an education. Society already failed these people before they cast their votes and as such you get the government your nation deserves.
