Sure, they were cruel, but it doesn't change the fact that death penalty doesn't prevent cruel crimes. So why bother enforcing it if it has no benefit and only disadvantages.
Well at least they won't be committing any future crimes. You do know people are killed by lifers in prison, right? What do they have to lose without a death penalty being carried out? They can kill over and over.
I 100% support it as it is better than paying over $30000 a year to incarcerate them for decades until they die of old age. If they are going to die in prison either way we might as well save the money.
Why put anyone in prison at all if the odds of escape are so high?

Yes. Among all violent crimes illegal immigration should be punished with capital punishment as well. Directly on the border without courts and prosecution, it costs too much money.
For premeditated murder, forcible rape, and some other heinous crimes, as long as there is incontrovertible proof, as unlike an unjust conviction there is no remedy.
i disagree with your two extremes. proof is enough beyond "reasonable" doubt, also killing people who did not kill how is that real justice? preventing a future crime is not justice. especially nowadays we *hav (3 letters) chemical castrated options.
The judicial system is rife with corruption. So I’m not convinced… on the other hand the private prison system makes huge corporate profits keeping more and more people behind bars…
admission is stupid, people are pressured or tricked. this idea caused inquisition to torture until a confession! only a system without confession can work.
this was dramatized in films like missing in action 2 and in con air.
because we*hav jury people not just lawyers. this is usualy fair except for when the jury is presured by: riots during o. j. and fear lost credibility. and facebook posts about killing trump lost credibility about trrump jury. i made screenshots. facebook censors tiny opinions wrongly but howts the serious libel and incite revenge. i hate that facebook boss n admin.

No. It doesn't prevent crimes so its unnecessary cruel without any benefit
And they weren't cruel when they killed someone? If someone killed someone you loved, you might feel different.

It will not change the past
But it will eliminate the possibility of them committing another crime

to dex, i agree with you.

Yes. Among all violent crimes illegal immigration should be punished with capital punishment as well. Directly on the border without courts and prosecution, it costs too much money.
Yes but they, 150 percent certainly, should die in the same manner as their victims (s) were murdered
can't because we can't be cruel but we can due justice a life for a life.
I support the Death Penalty. However, I wish there were less appeals. Appeals are what make the death penalty so expensive.

I don't trust the government with my money or my guns, and I sure as hell don't trust them with matters of life and death!
No unless the person admits 2 it n wants it. If we execute an innocent person then, it's not the law's fault.

America legal system knows best - good for you Americans in America

The only reason I am against it is because I don't trust the government enough to not use it against the innocent.
Yes. Rape a woman, molest a child, hurt an elderly person, kill someone, death penalty.
but the criminal did not kill so can't kill the criminal body.
@strateguy632 What?
I support the death penalty under certain extreme conditions, like mass killing
what about two murders in one activity? like texas law?
Yes, I completely support that! Especially murderers and rapists deserve it.
Fully support it. Anyone who takes a life should forfeit theirs.
Unless we get an absolute perfect justice system. All truth then yees but there is no perfection so NO. Can't risk killing an innocent.
killing an innocent? all those muder victims were NOT "killed an innocent"? what is wrong with you?
@strateguy632 I think what @lokiliko meant to say is “Can’t risk killing an innocent criminal”.
There will always be the risk you'll end up executing someone who was actually innocent, so no, it's not a good idea.
why don't you care about the victim? see my reply to loki here.
@strateguy632 From what I said, how did you conclude that I don't care about the victim?
Yes i do support it. They need to go away, i am not spending my taxes on people who should have gone long time ago
I do not agree with the death penalty no, especially not for sex crimes.
