Mainly depends on price, but foundation, structural and roofing problems are going to hand over fist your bank account guaranteed.
If you’re doing the work yourself: drywall, mold remediation (provided the source is identified), flooring, doors, and most interior remodeling is a lot more manageable. The new septic system is going to cost you, but nowhere near what the 1st house could potentially. Too many unknowns and too much risk in my opinion.
Distance from your work is also a factor.
Limited experience here, but I would say choose the second option. The mold spot could be really, really serious. And if it is black mold, you might have to redo the entire house.
Buy the 9 acre house. Probably be worth it in future
We decided to get neither of them and just keep looking
Lol, oh you missed a good opportunity
I just felt unsafe it's to close to my family
Family shamily, the property will be yours so why waste an opportunity.
You don't understand my family is dangerous to me and everything around me a house is of little use if I'm burned alive in my bed
Burned? Really? But why?
My family is literally a toxic tree we have every kind of toxic you want drug addicts or dealers murders and rapists mental abuse physical abuse financial abuse thieves animal abuse /zoophilia
Alcoholics and pedophile you can pick your poison in my family
And if they don't get what they want they will come for something you love without mercy
Sounds like you are a Mafia boss's daughter 🤭
That implies I have money and power no just generational trama and meth addicts who only care about themselves
Oh that's too bad //
So I'm not comfortable being in walking distance of a family that will poison my dog because I didn't give them cigarett money
