I'd say it's kind of like placebo drugs, it works if you think it works.
Strip away the arguable silly stereotipical aspects of it such as the weird sitting yoga pose, humming, holding your eyes close and needing silence, spiritality... get rid of that bs and you get down to the core, which is slowing down, making time to gather all you thoughts, stripping those thoughts of attached feelings and actually going through them to give yourself composer that part is what it's all about and can do everyone some good.
Depends how you use it, if ts for relaxation and focus then clearing the mind or trying to focus on something sounds effective but if it's to do all that astropejecting out the body and all that crap, not so much

Relaxation can have benefits for sure, but I'm not sure that meditation has any benefits beyond those of relaxation.
Good, for sure. The science seems to be settled on this subject. Taking time on a regular basis to meditate seems to be a big step you can take to protect your mental and physical health.
I can't sit still quietly that long without laughing.
it is calming, sometimes i do part meditation on train to job, but more often i am here gag.
Breathing and stretching is always good.
As a means of body control, it can be good.
