Let me explain, who you ask someone out and get their response even if it is not the one you want, or would you never ask them and live with the possibility that would have said yes, if you asked?
I don't think I can live with a what if, how about you folks?
I would prefer to have a broken heart. Staying in a 'what if' situation only makes you more insecure and uncertain of what to do. In the end this can be hurtful.

I wouldn't ask, and I never have. Any time I've ever been in a relationship, the guy has asked me, because I'm afraid of rejection LMAO

Navigating through the tricky paths of love and heartache, I'd say it's better to have a broken heart than a heart in doubt. Oh, the suspense of 'what if' can haunt you way longer than the sharp sting of rejection! Taking that leap of faith, even if you land on the not-so-soft grounds of unrequited love, at least gives you closure. It allows you to heal, grow, and eventually find the love story you're meant to star in. Remember, my friend, every no brings you closer to that thrilling yes that'll make all the past heartbreaks worth it. Embrace the journey, wear your heart on your sleeve, and let's toast to the courage of asking, even when the fear of rejection lurks around. 😉💔ā”ļø💖

Heartbreak is more decisive that eternal doubt. You have a clear course of action. Prolonged doubt will lead to a small heartbreak and the prompt to move on anyway.
(But of course if I had the choice Iād pick neither.)I guess even if I don't want it, I tend to live in what if's. Sure you regret it but you eventually let it go like, it never would have worked out even if we did dated lol.
You are talking about momentary blips. Rip the bandaid and or move on. Life is not stagnant it is a constant chase for happiness and balance.I always approach, always ask, and always move on without a problem if she is not interested. Cast a wide net. Too many guys focus on one, spend weeks or months planning, and then get crushed when she says "No." Cast a wide net.
