Did he have any reason to think you were only dating him for his money? Is he a rich guy? Have girls used him for his money in the past?
I don't think you were wrong for breaking up with him, but it's such an off-the-wall thing for him to do, I'm wondering if maybe there's more to the story.

No he's not rich and sometimes we used to take turns on date. I would pay for certain dates and on other dates he would. I fail to understand why he would think it was ok to lie for an entire week about the company his works in getting shutdown soon, that he's broke and getting closed to being evicted.
He thought I was being unfair and couldn't understand why I broke up if I passed the test. I've explained to him that it isn't about passing a test or not but about lost trust and that without trust I can't continue the relationship.
So he lied to you, you dumped him, and he doesn't understand why you dumped him for lying to you...
Is he brain-damaged?

Exactly. I consider lying about being broke, that the company you're working on will shutdown, that someone stole you're investment you've worked hard and about being close to evicted serious. He still didn't get it when he kept saying but why I'm leaving him if I passed the test. I had to explain to him that I'm not breaking up for him being broke but for the lie because there is no trust anymore.
Lack of trust on his part would be enough to break it off. Trust is the bases of a relationship and without it there can be no relationship. He would have to go….
What is this test? How did this work/how long? I'm young I feel I should know this lol

He lied for a week about the how he was soon going to get evicted because the company where he works on will get shutdown and how someone stole his large investment, how he's very broke. He wanted to test me if I would dump him right there. I dumped him for lying, not for being broke.

No, not really. It's a strong reaction, but not an undeserved one; lying about something important is lying about something important.
yeah he lied about it for a whole week

Is it possible that he saw that stupid "Looking for a Man in Finance" video?
And this got him paranoid?
How'd he take it when you broke up with him?
He thought I was being unfair and couldn't understand why I broke up if I passed the test. I've explained to him that it isn't about passing a test or not but about lost trust and that without trust I can't continue the relationship.
And he never mentioned WHY he decided to test you?
He wanted to test my reaction and what I had to say if he told me he was broken, to see if I would leave him for that.
Did he mention where he got the idea for this test?
I wonder if he's been listening to Andrew Tate or something.
You are right to dump him. Games are for children. Date an adult.
yeah I thought those ''I'm broke'' test were done in HS.
I don't know it doesn't seem like that big a deal to me but if you want to break up, no one is stopping you.
What choice do you have? Fuck around and find out... ☠️🖕🏻💯
Lmfao 💀
That’s a boo-boo on his part. You shouldn’t feel bad or wrong at all.
Sounds like you made the right call to me. If he can’t trust you, he shouldn’t date you to begin with, loyalty tests are always so juvenile.
Precisely. I thought these tests were for folks their HS years, for teens. He's already 33 years old. That's too old for drama and loyalty tests.
No he shit tested and that's fair reason to break up
So he lied to you, you dumped him, and he doesn't understand why you dumped him for lying to you...

Exactly. No trust equals no relationship.

Ya that's pretty stupid and immature of him
Indeed it is.
Very wrong, since women are CONSTANTLY testing us
well I don't have time to do these tests. He failed his test himself by lying.
Like i said...
Women do it much more than men and they even continue it after marriage.
That's bad too. I wish people wouldn't do these mindgames. Too much drama.
You're right for doing so.
No. That's valid.
Never heard of such test
I haven't either until he did it on me. I didn't know people over the age of 30 (he's 33) are still into this drama, into loyalty tests.
Have you ever tested him?
No. I don't have patience nor time for these idiotic mindgames.
No you did hin a favor.
Lol. Who cares. You are alone
Good. I prefer being alone than in a relationship without trust.
