Have you ever had an instagram notification but there's nothing there?

A few times I have had an instagram icon for notification at the top of my phone screen. Then when I go on to instagram there is no change from the last like/comment/freind add etc . Is this becuase someone likes then unlikes something? Or adds you by accident then takes off the add quickly? Other wise can't understand it!

yeah exactly right. the reason that happens is because that action has probably been undone pretty quick.
