To lose weight you have to be dedicated and you have to be consistent. It's mostly about nutrition. Eat healthy that's the way to go. You don't have to do low carb, low fat. Just eat healthy foods.
Also a lot of people in my family have done low carb, they lose the weight, but the pounds come back on. My mom is still doing it because she wants fast results, but sometimes the fast way isn't always the best way. My mother has been off and on with Atkins all her life. I don't know what this diet did, but she can't even eat fruit or whole wheat bread without gaining weight. I tried low carb and I was tired and all I craved was sweets for some reason. So I would eat these sugar free snacks that weren't any good for me. If I did make a mistake like cheating on my diet, like most beginners do, the weight would pile back on.
It might have worked for some people, but not me. It has been a lot easier just eating healthy. I've been able to stay on track with that more. I know there are people who can lose weight eating what they want. My sister did it, but is she fit? Is she healthy? Can she run up the stairs without panting? No.
Eat healthy and make sure you exercise. A good YouTube channel to start out with is xhit. They both have separate channels too, Kelsey Lee and Rebecca-Louise. These channels helped me out tremendously. Make sure you combine strength training and cardio. I heard it's better to do strength training before cardio. Not sure how true that is, but that's what I do. What I did in the beginning was I made sure I completed the workout no matter how many breaks I had to take I completed it. Eventually I got better and I moved on to another YouTuber named joanna soh. Her workouts were more challenging for me.
I've lost so far 22 lbs. I started off at 153, now I'm 131. Yes this did take a long time for me because I was on the low carb diet and I just couldn't do it and sometimes I would revert back to my old lifestyle of eating junk. I realized I could have lost this weight a lot faster if I had been consistent with my workouts and diet. Even if you mess up get back up and try again. Never quit on yourself. Be consistent and persistent!
Sorry for how long this was.
eat to live, not live to eat. eat ur veggies and protein then hit the gym.
well said
There are no tricks to lose weight.
It takes dedication and willpower. You have to want it bad enough to eat healthy and not in excess. Don't buy foods that you know are super processed, high in simple carbs like PopTarts and shit like that, so even if you crave 'em, you'll have no choice but to resort to healthier alternatives.
Make a workout schedule that you know will work for your work/school schedule. So if your Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays are free, tell yourself that you'll go to the gym for a full routine on each of those evenings/mornings. You can even buy a month pass for yourself then calculate how many times you'd need to drop in at your local month to break even, to provide even more motivation.

In short, I would do 2 things: eliminate all processed foodstuffs (if you don't know what's in it, don't eat it) and eliminate added sugar. I believe sugar in all its forms is toxic at high doses, and it's extremely easy to get a high dose of sugar daily because everything processed is laden with sugar. Your only source for sugar should come from carbohydrate-rich potatoes and whole wheat, vegetables, and fruits, without the added sugar.
Also, do a lot of manual housework daily. That way, you are doing something productive, your home will receive a great housekeeping and make-over, and you don't ever have to pay for a gym membership. :D
Control your food intakes,
no cold drinks,
less sugar,
no soda,
eat a lot of fruits,
eat less carbohydrat (bread, rice, noodles, potatoes)
less fried things.
And if you can, (this what i do)
I drink lemon juice every morning (the moment i wake up) and before i go bed.
And have breakfasts at least 30 minutes after you toke lemon juice.
If you can't take lemon juice, do lemon water for the whole day.
Put 2 or 3 slice of lemon in to 1L water and drink it the whole day.
Little exercises will help too :)
I really don't do much because I am naturally skinny, but no matter what everyone needs excessive regardless of there weight. Your eating habits are way more important than excersize. O e tip I have is to only eat if your hungry or need too. So many people just eat junk food because they crave it, and then end up missing out on the more important meals. Eating should not be something you do for fun. You eat to live. So if I'm hungry I won't starve myself and I'll eat but if I'm not there's no point.
Running.
as for food habits, then obviously avoid greasy, unhealthy food, too much sugar, and SODA!!
drink a large glass of water before every meal, make this a habit, and no matter how hungry you are, DO NOT eat late at night (8 pm max), instead, go to bed hungry it won't kill you, tell yourself you'll get a nice breakfast tomorrow morning.
I never defend those crazy hard diets. I don't think they work long term and they're also unhealthy.
If you have a lot of weight to lose, then the first step is to understand that weight controle is more of a lifestyle than a thing that only lasts for a limited period of time. It's commitment forever. Adopting healthy food habits, and eating just enough (not too little, not too much, Americans eat HUGE proportions). and exercising. you don't have to kill yourself at the gym, just run regularely and try to not have a sedimentary life (examples: go out for walks, ride your bike once a while, swim whenever you can, hike, dance... just move)
synthetic hormones, lol.
i worked out and ate healthily for years, and was frustrated by the lack of results. turns out that i have a condition called hypothyroidism~ there's no cure, though it can be managed with medication. weight loss is nightmarishly difficult, since diet and exercise alone won't make a difference, but it's not impossible.
i'm not as active these days, as age and various injuries have taken their toll on my body. i still have to watch what i eat more than the average person does, go for regular blood work, and take pills to keep from blowing up like a beached whale. but i've still managed to lose 15 pounds since my birthday in February.
i like to think of weight loss in terms of health and what i can do, rather than what i can't.
I don't know.. I've never been fat.. but eat clean... ya know? No processed shit.
Drink lots of water...
I might be able to help you out if you tell me more about your diet. Why don't you just list for me what you ate yesterday and today?
by the way losing weight is more about diet. Staying in shape is more about exercise.
SO lets do this.. list for me what you ate yesterday and today and also list oyur physical activity.
You can PM me instead if you'd like to keep it private!
thanks for the opinions!
What I ate yesterday: coffe, yougurt, lemon juice, pie, corn
What I ate today: coffe (2x), yougurt, fish, eggplant, cheese, peach juice, lemon juice, a sweet
Physical activity is just walking for maybe 40 minutes
i watch my sugar, carbs, and sodium, sometimes drink about 6 cups of green tea (it helps detox) but dont do it TOO often, try to stay away from processed food, and work out 3-4 times a week. mostly do cardio and ones a week weight train. when i really want to lose some weight i skip weight training for a week or two and focus more on workouts like jump roping (can burn about 100 calories in ten minutes) and do ten extra minutes of cardio at the gym.
Big breakfast
Cup of green tea 30min to an hr after every meal
Lunch
Cup of green tea
Snack vegs, fruit, drink water
Light carb dinner
Cup of green tea
Excersice 3xs a week, stop eating rice, bread, processed foods NO SuGAR!& drink tons of water
Before bed a cup of warm water,1 spoon of lemon,1 tsp honey
Hope this helps🙂
Doing this gave me good results:
1. Exercise (AT LEAST 2x a week). I didn't see results by exercising every other week. Try doing cardio and/or walking or jogging for about 15-30 mins at least 2x a week.
2. Cut out the junk food. I didn't see results when I ate whatever I wanted and exercise. Try eating smaller portions or change ur diet all the way around. Replace potato chips with baby carrots. Replace soda with water or homemade spinach & apple juice. And so on.
Hope this helps!🙃
