When can I start my new birth control pack after my period? ?

Just a quick question about birth control. Usually every month I start my pill on the first Tuesday after my period, but I always feel the need to start it right after I'm done. Is that okay?

You can start your active pills, or new pack of birth control, any time you want.

Assuming that you have a pack of 28 pills in total, though (21 active pills followed by 7 days of sugar pills), never take more than 7 days off for your 'sugar pill week', and don't start your sugar pill week until you've taken active pills at least 21 days in a row. Otherwise, your protection will be compromised.

Usually there will be "placebo" pills if it comes in 28 pack so you can start it after you're done the sugar pills which are approx 7 days.
