Why has the frequency of his text changed?

His replying has been really bad the last few weeks. He won’t reply to my text until around 5pm and then take a hour in between to reply to each text. He never use to be like this but now it’s changed. He does text me everyday and we call here and there but it seems like his feeling have changed. (he does work night shifts)

That type of texting-mostly dynamic is not sustainable. Even if it worked in the beginning, after a few weeks or months it really starts to take its toll. As of now you’re out of sight and if he’s very busy then you’re may be out of mind for the most of his day. It isn’t a priority to check in how he used to either and again, that can be a matter of phone-based relationship not working for him.

Ask him, if this is a talking stage though, it sounds like a red flag that he’s been acting cold for weeks. When someone starts acting cold, a talking stage loses all its goodness to turn into anything serious

Are you official though? I feel like if a man isn’t actively progressing things to make sure a relationship happens, that’s a massive red flag. Every man that has been serious about me, has asked me out within a month. Different strokes, for different folks but I’d consider the fact that he isn’t being progressive as a red flag.

Yes it’s official. We in a Long distance relationship though so it’s hard to tell if he really is taking it serious

Does he sleep during the day and wake up at 5? I used to get home from work at 10am and sleep until the afternoon.

As far as having more distance, he could be tired, burnt out, depressed, losing interest in you, cheating, etc... but it's hard to know without reading his mind. Communication is the solution, my friend.
