Do you say it nicely? Are you asking for help with something? If so, and he resists, he isn't a partner. Does he have a problem getting off his ass?

Does he expect you to jump when he calls?

If he expects you to come when called but feels emasculated when you call him, he is a domineering piece of shit who thinks women are beneath men. He will make a terrible partner.
