Okay, it sounds like this girl may have a crush on you. Some possibilities for why she stutters:
- She gets nervous around you because she likes you. Talking one-on-one is intimidating.
- Having her friend there gives her some moral support since she probably feels shy approaching you alone.
- It's common for people, especially teenagers, to lose their words or get tongue-tied around someone they find attractive. Her brain may short-circuit!
A few things you could do:
- Smile and be friendly when she talks to you. Try to put her at ease so she's less anxious.
- Ask open-ended questions so she just has to answer versus coming up with the conversation. Easier for her.
- Compliment something non-physical about her like her style or interest in a class to boost her confidence a bit.
- Suggest hanging out in a group sometimes so she can get used to being around you casually.
- Don't put her on the spot or make fun of the stuttering. That will only make it worse.
Chances are it's just a normal crush and will pass. Be flattered she likes you! As long as you're nice, I'm sure she'll relax around you over time. Poor girl's just shy is all.
Well, you can listen to the user that copied your question into ChatGPT or actual users that put some thought and personal experience behind their answers. So just because she stutters doesn't mean much of anything other than she is possibly nervous. Could it be because she has a crush? Sure. Could it also be because she is like that when she gets attention from guys? Yep. She may also have a speech impediment. There is really no way to know for sure. I always tell users that read into these minor signs not to over think something because you want it to be true. To me it sounds like you want this girl to like you or why even be bothered. We all get like that and read into things way to much looking for any hope or affirmation. The fact is that there could be a lot of reasons why this girl acts the way she does down to she is socially awkward around all people.
So n so went 2 speech from 2nd to 4th grade 4 stuttering. When they would talk 2 their 4th grade teacher they would stutter. Their teacher was mean.
In 4th grade they stuttered talkin 2 othr peopl 2. With control they sometimes stuttered n sometimes didn't. After 4th grade they didn't stutter as much.
