Is sending a heart emoji to guy friends normal for girl while being in a relationship?

I recently found my Girlfriend sending a purple heart emoji to her male best friend as a reply to a complement from him followed by a blowing kiss smiley. I was severely pisssed off on finding this but She told it was out of friendship and purple heart emoji meant nothing. Is it normal for girls in a relation to sent heart emojis to her male friends. I am severely disturbed and her explanations are not going into my head. Please help!!!

She truly probably meant absolutely nothing by it if its her best friend. I have done that before and had no attachment to it whatsoever because the guy was like a brother to me. Think about it, if they wanted to be together then they would. But she isn't, she's with you. And I suggest you try handling the situation a little better before you really turn her off because people can be protective over their close friendships. You are definitely in the right to confront her on it and let her know you dont appreciate it. She will be more respectful of your wishes if she cares about you. Ask her how it would make her feel if the roles were reversed. Just don't try and come between them, and make her stop contact with him because it may be you thats left upset in the end.

Purple hearts aren't really used as a romantic emoji, more platonic. But it is reasonable to Express your concern about it. Be calm and don't accuse her of anything. Tell her how it made you feel and see if she's receptive to explaining her side of the story
