It depends on the occasion I’ve waited as long as two hours before. But cases where I’ll wait more then 30 minutes to a hour is if it’s a special occasion. If I’m just wanting to get something to eat. I can find somewhere else.
If it’s a Friday or Saturday night though and somewhere isn’t packed. It maybe isn’t the best place to eat
It depends...
If I'm with friends or my SO, then up to 30min if they allow us to have a cocktail while we're waiting.
If it's a first date I'll suggest we just do the 30-45min cocktail at the bar rather than wait on an endless line... or go somewhere else. We're supposed to be spending time together. Food is just food. Don't make the restaurant wait longer than the date.
If it's lunchtime and the line is coocoo, 0min... I have better things to do.
I remember while looking for a place to grab breakfast with my family, we found one place that was very good but had a 20 minute weight so we opted for another place with no wait time, and then had to wait over 35 minutes for them to cook our food while the other place finishes your food in under 15 minutes. The food was unique and nice, but not what I was expecting. I ordered something I never tried before and it tasted good, but it did not taste the way I thought it would.
If it's a really nice place I've been anticipating to go to for a really long time on a special day, I can wait up to 45 minutes. It's worth the wait if I spend about alittle over 2 hours in there. However if this is like, an Applebee's or something, I'm leaving in 5 minutes lol.
Why would you be eating at Applebee’s in the first place?
Not long. I have seen multiple times a long line of people wanting to buy food in the aquapark. They'd be waiting 1 hour in the open sun to get to order something.
What I did was I bought my food elsewhere AND THEN I went to the aquapark, bringing my food with me.
I voted 15-30 as the longest. But I would only wait 30 minutes in very rare circumstances. Normally I won't wait more than 5-10 minutes. I'll just go somewhere else.
If it's a holiday and every place is crowded, I'll make reservations.
I ain't waiting, I am not known for my patience. Also I don't care about fancy food I am alright with a sandwich or grilled cheese.
Unless there's a crisis in the country I wouldn't stand in a queue even for 15 minutes. If I have ordered food and am sitting in the restaurant then I wouldn't mind waiting for some time.
I would drive the three hours... and wait another three in line
to get at that place in particular
I think I would draw the line at about 20 mins. Just come back another day when it's not so busy.
If the wait is more than 30 minutes ( which usually ends up being 45 minutes) we go somewhere else.
I do not like to wait to spend my money.
We usually have a plan B place in mind just in case.
15 minutes or less. It is quicker to just get back into my truck and drive 5 minutes down the street to a different place.
Not even five minutes. I am hungry, not waiting to see the Mona Lisa in the Louvre.
30 minutes at most. Anything past that is too much.
I operate on the principle that buisnesses need my money not the other way around.
If I can't wait inside the restaurant I don't want to wait. That said, I may wait outside if it is a nice day. But I am not waiting in a line that goes outside.
I'd wait as long as 30 to 45 but more than likely, if it's not a restaurant I was crazy about. I'd just go to another restaurant. But 30 to 45 is not normal that's my limit
If there's a line I'm just not going in. Unless it's a famous Chicago deep dish pizza joint.
About 3 hours. If you ever go to Cracker Barrel, for some reason they have you wait so long

So, why am I hanging out here on Girls Ask Guys? Well, I'm all about chasing those epic tastes across the globe and sharing some culinary wisdom along the way. As someone who loves exploring every type of cuisine from the cozy corners of a local trattoria in Italy to the bustling sushi bars in Japan, I've queued up more times than I can count for a plate of something spectacular. Personally, I think the longest I'd wait to get into a restaurant is about an hour. Anything beyond that, and I start questioning my life choices. 😅 Trust me, I've been there, staring hungrily at the entrance, but I've found that the anticipation can sometimes make the meal even more enjoyable. Just remember, always have a snack in your pocket for those really long waits! 🍣🍝
