Yes and NO, the customers would love me the own not so much. I do 3 or 4 finger shots. I would rather the 20 dollar tip compared to the 30 dollar drink.
I would not find it hard to memorize the 20-30 hottest-selling mixed drinks, plus how hard is it to pull a tap or pop a cap for the beer? It is just something that I do not think that I would enjoy doing.
It was good refreshing on a hot day. Pretty potent tho cuz I'm heavy handed with the vodka and light on the juice lolol 2 hurricane glasses and I was lit lolol
I was a bartender (then a bar manager) for a number of years... I'm not very egotistical as a rule but I'll make an exception on this occasion... I was great at it! lol
Hey, I'd teach you a few lessons when it come's to cocktails, don't worry about being heavy handed with the alcohol, I always come prepared with an emergency pint of milk! lol
Oh awesome, I've spent 12 months of communicating with everyone via teams/Skype/zoom but it's just not the same as sharing chicken risotto whilst supping vodka and cranberry! I'll book the plane flight as soon as the restrictions are lifted! lol
I am the opposite. I could make the drinks no problem, but my personality is more along the lines of sit back and observe. Having to interact with drunk people in numbers would get on my nerves, the guys anyway.
What do you like to drink when at a bar? Not saying I would make yours extra strong in order to get you to lose your inhibitions... not saying I wouldn't either 😏
Wouldn't worry about that, cuz I'm not that kind of drinker 😂 And I don't go to bars haven't in a long time.. Of I have a drink at home it's usually whiskey or sometimes vodka sometimes wine
I don't frequent bars myself and rarely drink to be honest. If I do drink it's going to be Jack and Coke unless I have been working outside in the heat which makes cold beer taste amazing. Not that you wanted to know that lol.
Depends on the customer and how obnoxious they get. I have a low tolerance level for people who actively try to get a rise out of one. I would probably be like, "get the fuck out of here if it got to my limit."
I would be great for the chit-chat but i get stressed if i need to make all these mixes out of my head and if it is busy... i wouldn't be able to survive.
Here we had long periods shut and until this weekend customers weren't allowed in it was only outside and table service rather than people coming to the bar
I'm with you since generally I dr8nk scotch or craft beer. I don't know how to make cocktails. I am the kind of person that strangers tell their troubles to, though.
I used to be a part time bartender in the 70s and 80s and know how to mix drinks (well at least the regular ones and some new ones but there are more coming out every day lol) Personality is a plus for me as I was in sales my entire career and love to talk with people and even during boring times. People still call me when they need a bartender at a wedding or an important house party. You have to have a smart serve validation before you can bartend around here and are legally responsible for people who appear drunk not to serve them. If they are drunk somewhere else and they have one drink wherever it may be the 2nd. place will be responsible for any accidents the person has afterword. It is and can get very expensive. Around the house I make the best drinks and they are all new inventions and people love them. I know what goes with what and it's fun.
I'd probably be really good at listening and conversing with customers. If all I had to do was pour beer or wine, I'd be fine. But I don't know jack about mixed drinks.

Yes and NO, the customers would love me the own not so much. I do 3 or 4 finger shots. I would rather the 20 dollar tip compared to the 30 dollar drink.
Yeah see that would be me😂
I would not find it hard to memorize the 20-30 hottest-selling mixed drinks, plus how hard is it to pull a tap or pop a cap for the beer?
It is just something that I do not think that I would enjoy doing.
👍👍🙂
I think I would be a very good bartender, why? Coz’ I love interacting with people and I really like mixing drinks. 🤙🏾
Sounds like you would.. I could use a drink right now🥃
What do you want me to make for you?
Thanks for the offer lol but got it covered today... Made strawberry, mango frozen cocktails w/vodka, ice, fruit, splash of OJ🍹
I am so making this !!! This made my mouth water by just reading this. lol

It was good refreshing on a hot day. Pretty potent tho cuz I'm heavy handed with the vodka and light on the juice lolol 2 hurricane glasses and I was lit lolol
I dunno i am pretty clumsy i think i might be good at mixing drinks but not tossing them in the air or anything 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
I was a bartender (then a bar manager) for a number of years... I'm not very egotistical as a rule but I'll make an exception on this occasion... I was great at it! lol
That's good👍👍🍻
Hey, I'd teach you a few lessons when it come's to cocktails, don't worry about being heavy handed with the alcohol, I always come prepared with an emergency pint of milk! lol
🤢🤢🤮 you ain't pouring milk in my tummy drink, no Sir
*yummy not tummy, but eventually it gonna hit the tummy so guess not much of a typo🤣
I'm sure it's a Yummy Tummy anyway! lol
And our whole friendship was kinda started on a milk based anecdote... so chill out and let me pour the drinks mate! lol
Yep, I'm finishing the potent pitcher I made yesterday and have chicken in the oven, so double yummy in the tummy lolol
So what's in the pitcher? It's 9.30pm so the only chicken I'm getting is if I decide to have a Cup a soup before bed!
Ice, strawberries, lots of vodka and a splash or two of cranberry orange juice.. But pitcher currently empty lolol making chicken and mushroom risotto
Oh awesome, I've spent 12 months of communicating with everyone via teams/Skype/zoom but it's just not the same as sharing chicken risotto whilst supping vodka and cranberry! I'll book the plane flight as soon as the restrictions are lifted! lol
Lol think it'll be gone by then lolol
Haha, I can take a hint! lol!
I would be great at people skills, I would learn the recipes, and give a smidge more alcohol then needed.
Yeah, that's me lolol but more than a smidge lolol
I'd be terrible. I'm not very experienced making drinks. My personality is rough and I'll easily tell someone off.
Yeah that wouldn't be good lol
"Hi! You got a bud light?"
(Glance at your hands)
"No.. not yet. But I'll letcha know when I do!"
@MickeyMac Lolol
@MickeyMac Had me rolling XD
Me: Sorry bud, gotta cut you off
Drunk: Fuck off
Me: Fuck yea it's on now
😄 ..
"Awesome! Thanks, now I'm Blameless! Phil, call 911.. bout to be a passed out drunk lying on the floor.."
@MickeyMac 😂😂😂😂
I am the opposite. I could make the drinks no problem, but my personality is more along the lines of sit back and observe. Having to interact with drunk people in numbers would get on my nerves, the guys anyway.
See you can make the drinks and I'll serve em, deal with the people🙂👍
Sounds like a good team right there.

🍻😊
Don't know, but in all honesty I feel I would get irritated very quick.
Yeah some drunk people funny, others be irritating with it lolol
Depends on the customer and how obnoxious they get. I have a low tolerance level for people who actively try to get a rise out of one. I would probably be like, "get the fuck out of here if it got to my limit."
Bad. I want to be sitting at a bar, not working behind one.
Lololol
Bad, no clue how to make drinks and would probably be getting drunk😂
One drink of what I made yesterday and yeah you'd a hit the floor 🤣
Lmao. Yikes😂
😂😂
I would be great for the chit-chat but i get stressed if i need to make all these mixes out of my head and if it is busy... i wouldn't be able to survive.
Yeah I'm sure it can get stressful
Bar tender is one of my jobs so hopefully i'm a good one
I'm sure it's been harder with the pandemic
Been different that's for sure
I'm sure it has
Here we had long periods shut and until this weekend customers weren't allowed in it was only outside and table service rather than people coming to the bar
But now they can come in?
Yeah since Saturday so only just
Nah, I'd be clueless on the drinks, although I'd be great at making conversation.
👍👍
I think bartending can be fun sometimes but never did it. I wouldn't like to bartend somewhere to noisy or too dimly lit
👍👍
I'm with you since generally I dr8nk scotch or craft beer. I don't know how to make cocktails. I am the kind of person that strangers tell their troubles to, though.
Right! Same, I've had people tell me their life story just standing in the bus stop lol
I can relate.
I can make drinks but dealing with people isn't for me
You can make the drinks, I'll deal with the people lol

Nope bcz I don't like the smell of alcohol n I don't like seeing drunk people
👍👍
The more I drink the smarter and better looking I get.
@Lofas2121 😂😂😂
