It depends upon the degree - how do you define "really, really" & whether you can have some outside substance to aid you in conquering the pain. Degree Example: Atomic Warheads are nothing when compared to "Shut the Cluck Up" chicken (which comes in at >1,000,000 Scoville units). But, if you are talking degrees worse than those, go with Hot, because that's superficial pain - extreme Sour causes serious musculo-glandular pain. (I can still remember the how my salivary glands ached after some very sour food.) Outside Substances: There are, however, berries that can make sour taste sweet & beverages that can lessen the pain of capsaicin. With those items, sour might be better/easier option. re-state://background_color_rgba (0, 0, 0, 0), font_color_rgb (0, 0, 0), justifyLeft, p
It would be interesting as I regularly enjoy ghost pepper, and have my own plants. Reaper is supposedly around twice the scoville scale, but I honestly can't tell. It doesn't feel all that hot to me, though habaneros are a bit painful sometimes. It's a weird situation, but I like the slow burn of ghost pepper best. Bring on the hot stuff.
Years back a recipe called for cinnamon & like a dumb ass I accidentally threw in cayenne pepper in it instead, no good!
Spicy all the way. I love spicy food, love adding green chili to everything, really enjoy Samyang ramen (the spicy noodles that was viral on the internet), just ate some ramen with added spice.
I can't eat sour. For almost a decade I wasn't even allowed to eat anything acidic/citrus due to an autoimmune condition and doctors believed vitamin C worsens it... I wasn't even allowed ketchup back then.
Now the facts are better established and I can eat anything cirtus/sour now, but I cannot tolerate sour foods anymore. My taste buds have become habituated to avoiding them. I can have a bit of a squeeze of lemon in my food, or drink lemon water with some honey, and eat tangerines and oranges that are sweet enough, otherwise not much.
I once gave a lemon slice to my niece to try, obviously she didn't like it. So i ate a whole slice like an orange and she looked at me like I was God 😆
That gives me a great idea! Iβll try it with my four year old nephew.

I can't think of anything edible (as in, it won't hurt you badly or kill you) that is intolerably sour. Sure you can drink battery acid, but you're probably going to end up with permanent esophagus and stomach damage.
But spicy? There are edible things that feel like there's a hellfire in your mouth.
I choose Sour.
I already tried the ghost pepper and it completely destroyed my stomach. Not trying that again.
I like ghost pepper chips & when it comes to that kick itβs just right.
... I literally can eat anything ANYTHING except sour things
so give them spiciest thing you got! 🙂😂
Youβre probably like me I can eat anything as well! Iβm like a human garbage can!
Sameee π
I used to eat sour fruit rolls & prune paste (even before having breakfast). Then I realized that having so much food with cold nature is the cause of many diseases such as MS. So, I stopped.
Spicy foods irritates my skin.. I can't eat tgem
Spicy, it's just receptors. Sour could damage your tongue.
If sour damages your tongue can really really hot spicy foods do the same?
No, in sour food there is acid and your mouth tissue can only handle so much of it.
The hot sensation caused by spicy food is due to the chemical
CapsaΓ―cine
It binds to receptors that also sense heat, so in that way you perceive as your tissue is burning while it isn't.
You can get serious discomfort from spicy food, but it does not damage tissue.
I love sour stuff so that, only too much can actually make my tongue bleed😅
Talk about a shock to your system & you must know your sour limit.
I think sour but I love spicy things, just depends on how spicy!
Franks is about my limit.
We should have a War Head eating contest if you like sour!
Sour. Spicy things sometimes make my little teen tummy hurt :(
In addition to making your little tummy hurt spicy things will make your supercutebutt hurt as well.
Spicy is best.
My severe dislike for sour is through the roof. I don't mind the tangy taste of lemon, but I can't handle anything that is mainly sour. I can't even handle Tom Yum, it's too sour for me.
I loooove sour things. I could eat a lemon with only a bit of struggle
Would you be able to eat a lemon like you eat & orange?
Yeah sure... I hate oranges though... and it would be slightly harder
I'm a baby when it comes to spicy so definitely sour
Sour it is & great choice & as for spicy over time you slowly have to work your way up & you might be able to withstand the heat.
When I think of sour I think of sour candy like sour patch kids for example or food that is sour from going bad.
Thatβs a good question & I wasnβt specific so Iβll leave it up to you to decide. Originally I should have wrote sour as in sour patch kids.
@static_in_the_attic
You could put it in an update.
I'd go with the sour. At least when you're finished with it, the ordeal is over. But with something super hot you feel it for a while!
Good question. ^ We need more lighthearted questions like this. :D
Feel free to checkout my other questions like this as well & as a disclaimer some of them are weird.
Eat Something Really Really Sour., war heads are my favorite! Screw toxic waste though lol
War heads are the best & like when you open a bunch of them & put them all in your mouth at the same time.
I hate spicy foods, so I'm gonna go with sour.
Sour Patch Kids & War Heads game on!
Omg I loved Warheads! We used to get a big container of them from Sam's Club. Sour patch kids, lemonheads, warheads, crybabies... I love all that stuff lol
At work I bought a whole bunch of warheads for my co-workers & we had a little game in which I won.
What was the game?
The game was to see who could put the most warheads in their mouth & be able to deal with the sourness.
Lol I can feel my glands burning π
Major glands were burning that day & Iβm so glad it wasnβt hot sauce because my asshole glands would be burning on that one.
ππ ewww
i grew up eating stuff like wasabi lol and pickled plums so.. either or is fine with me?
I love both spicy and sour! So I guess it depends on the mood I am in!
I'd can eat both, but I can only pick one, so I pick the really really spicy one.
Sour, I hate sour but I like my boyfriend feeding me sour stuff and calling the face I make silly
