Why are overweight ugly women being promoted as the standard of beauty?

Even average non-fat women are more attractive. Also who are these pageants for? I get modelling plus size clothes but most women even overweight ones want to wear what women they perceive as attractive do.

One time I attended a hobbyist beauty pageant. Maybe "hobbyist" isn't the right word... since nobody there seemed to be that much of a hobbyist. Maybe "amateur"?

The point is that the it wasn't intended as a serious competition between hotties, it was welcome to all and there were some not pretty girls there, and some average girls, who can be quite beautiful. There were no nines and tens, anybody that hot would just find the whole experience to be lame.

But the point was to develop presentation skills. And to enjoy the camaraderie between girls. There was a question and answer event. There was a smile and wave event. Since the girls were just average, you could see that the point wasn't to be, say hot and sexy like men would lust and desire for, but rather to be cheerful and pleasant and presentable. It was a return to a more old fashioned idea of beauty, where being a slutty 404 in a skintight body dress and being enticing in an overt manner was not what they were going for but more the kind of beauty where the girls had their hair and makeup done nice, and the wore a fancy dress and smiled and waved and said nice things about how they could make a difference in their community.

So that's what I think is going on in the second photo, it's a pageant without strict standards of competition because maybe that's not the point. Or maybe Greater Detroit just drank too much SJW koolaid, and the other participating cities will push back.

I think for fat bitches, yeah they're fat and not pretty, but putting on nice clothes and getting their hair done can at least make them somewhat presentable.

Doing hair and nails and picking out a dress, and plucking and makeup, it's something that all girls do and it sort of creates a bond of common experience among them, and a beauty pageant is just like a way to do that together and share the experience. It's less a competition to see who's the prettiest, they kind of live that competition every day of their lives, and actually the exact opposite, a safe space where they can bond over the shared experience of being girls.

I just wanted to share my interpretation and experience of seeing an amateur beauty pageant somewhat up close. I do agree that SJW "beauty standards" are fake and more destructive than good. But nobody actually believes it though. When "beauty queens" are getting less dates than random female twitch streamers, everybody knows who actually is more desirable to men.

A fat woman merely winning a beauty pageant does not always mean that being fat is promoted as a beauty standard. As far as I'm concerned, beauty is subjective, meaning that different people have different views regarding what they consider attractive. As a result, I fail to understand why beauty has to exist as a single standard. Regardless of how some people view fat women, people still exist that find them attractive. If the judges of the beauty pageant find fat women attractive in their subjective view, then fat women have higher chances of winning such beauty pageants with those judges.

I have never see this shit in my life. No fat woman is going to be seen as beautiful, we get it, we understand men do not typically find fat women attractive! Women already understand this point because everyone pushes it down little girls throats, that you have to be pretty and pleasing to the eye of men. What these few things of body positivity is trying to do is to allow people to be confident in their own body and to have men stop picking on them because they don't walk around being eye pleasing to men.

But considering the standard has always been people want skinny, attractive partners that will never change. So why can't men just leave these women alone? Clearly men that are not attracted will ever change their mind and be attracted to them, so just leave them alone so they can try to feel good about themselves. I would never bully a guy because he is fat or doing something to make himself feel good either. People who are fat it usually has something to do with them psychologically so when people are constantly picking on and tearing down fat people, how does that help anyone and what do you benefit from tearing them down? Well that's not actually the case.. The fat acceptance movement is toxic, and there definitely is an agenda to push fat is a beauty standard.. It's trying to make being fat sexy.. It's more of a power play... Look at the women they are trying to push onto the public, Victoria Secret has been losing money for trying to do anything but show tall, skinny attractive women.. Now that being said, most men don't want skinny, we like healthy weight... We also like a variety of aesthetics as long as they women is reasonably attractive.. But also it doesn't take a lot of work to lose weight..

Where are you seeing this "toxic beauty standard" thing being pushed besides by weirdos on youtube or other social media? I have not seen it in any ads or things I watch by actual companies. Fat acceptance itself is based on very overweight people trying to force fat as healthy and normal, it's also vilifying men who don't necessarily want bigger girls, also let's face it, it's mostly for women.. Well its just that people are really becoming this way. The many guys I talked to on dating apps, they were never serious or looking for anything but they love to lead you on for a few weeks, even the ugly ones. Well, that's the thing, most guys are dating apps regardless of if you look good or not are looking to get their dicks wet unfortunately.. That may or may not have anything to do with your weight..
