This is DEFINITELY a gray area, tf. When it comes to 'guys commenting on women's appearance,' it's never easy to take a stance - I mean, what kind of comments are they? Are they disrespectful? Unnecessarily sexual? Did I give this person the impression they could comment on my appearance? I mean, I'm not the one going around commenting on people's looks, so it feels weird to me that someone would feel comfortable commenting on my appearance.
Anyway, in my opinion, it depends on the tone, the words used, and the relationship I have with the man. If it's even slightly sexual, I'll hate it.

I believe that they do, as long as its positive and not derogatory, Positive comments impact their self image and self esteem as well as improves their outlook on how the world perceives them physically. As long as you keep it respectful and itâs something you wouldnât mind a guy saying to your mother/sister/daughter/future daughter, most women are fine with it/appreciate it.
It also depends on the tone and the situation too. For example, if youâre shouting a compliment at someone you donât know, that doesnât feel like a compliment. That feels like verbally getting a smack to the face and is creepy.
yes women do like it when guys notice or compliment them about their appearance if they have made some effort to look nice or done something new with their hair. Itâs a bonus point if you also genuinely compliment them about their personality which you like
I like when I'm dolled up with my man hanging around the town and a random guy (usually older) says something to both of us like:
"You're a really lucky guy! You got a good woman".
"You're punching above your weight, man. She's gorgeous" *winks at me*

Well, it does take some effort to look a certain way, so when weâve hit the mark itâs nice to feel that our man appreciates it⌠itâs also something that among us guys we tend to chatter about, like âOh I love that blouse, whereâd you get it?â⌠not bc weâre going to run out and buy the same thing, bur bc we want to offer affirmation and put it out into the universe.
