No, I've always liked older guys. However, it depends on how older they are. For instance, I could date a 36 year old but I wouldn't date a 56 year old now.
When I was in my 20's I liked a guy who was younger than me, but that was an exception.
In retrospect I can honestly say most if not all men in their 20’s aren’t really quite there mentally to have and maintain a healthy long term relationship
My current boyfriend is 15 years younger than me. I started dating him about 6 months ago. Before him the youngest guy I ever dated was my age.
However, I don't think my preference overall necessarily changed. I just think that he's exceptional. Most guys his age wouldn't be nearly so compatible with me in terms of their maturity and goals.
I’ve always only ever gone for older- but I ALWAYS end up with someone younger. Kinda hate it. Maybe older guys are just less… into me? I don't know, sex with older guys is better tho so who knows
😆 I think that’s the case with everybody mostly though! Even I haven’t been a saint and I’ve snuck off to a few parties that I probably shouldn’t have 😆
For relationships, of course. For biological attraction, no. We're all still animals, but some guys are good at coping and blocking out what they have no chance with.
It was kind of just natural I think. I'd always kind of liked older men just from a physical attraction type thing but around 19 I kind of got to experience a couple of older guys.

LOL, ironically, I've always preferred women in their 30s, even when I was a young adult. That is the age cohort I have least dated, though.

Would you say in your 20’s you gave dating a younger guy a shot out of curiosity to see if there’s a difference?
Not really. I don't know what I was thinking but I was crazy about him Lol
He told me he had a girlfriend, so we never dated and I had to forget him.
Oh wow that’s not good
Yeah, it was a bad experience.
What matters is that you learned from it lol
Yes, I did. Never again! Lol
In retrospect I can honestly say most if not all men in their 20’s aren’t really quite there mentally to have and maintain a healthy long term relationship
I agree. Which I why I still don't understand how come I fell for him.
That’s how my younger buddies are. And that’s most certainly how I was when I was in my 20’s. I didn’t know any better.
Which is why I say “as long as you learned from it, that’s what matters” life is full of lessons.
I think you were just curious.
Also, you probably were attracted to him. So that also added to the decision to go with it.
Yes, I was really attracted to him. Now when I look back I just ask myself "Why?" 😂😂😂
You were younger… not as wise/experienced.
That's also true. There's no way that I would fall for a younger guy at this moment.
Sort of.

Yeah... I like way older guys now than I did in my 20s... They're all in their 50s now. Tsk.
So given the common gaps.
You’re saying you’d date a man in his 60’s and up?
No. I'm saying in my 20s I would date guys in my 20s... now, way later, guys in their 50s.
So 3-10 year gap essentially going above your age?
No, dude. 3-5 years older is fine.
And it’s always been like that. Not bad
every year my age pref slightly goes up. prefer people as close to my age as possible
So you used to date younger?
well not really. what i ment was when i was 18, my fave age in boys was 18. at 19, was 19. etc
Ah so it’s staying consistent with your age
No, I always liked older guys. I am 19 but like up to 26 yr olds.
I’ve always only ever gone for older- but I ALWAYS end up with someone younger. Kinda hate it. Maybe older guys are just less… into me? I don't know, sex with older guys is better tho so who knows
How can you go for older but end up with younger guys? There’s a disconnect
Nah, not really. I always liked guys a couple of years older. In most cases they’re a bit more mature than guys my age 😆
I believe it. I didn’t stop being a stupid idiot until I was in my mid-late 20’s
😆 I think that’s the case with everybody mostly though! Even I haven’t been a saint and I’ve snuck off to a few parties that I probably shouldn’t have 😆
Just be careful. The world has more bad people than good ones.
Thanks I will! 😊 Everybody knows it’s better to bring a friend along most of the time when you’re traveling or out alone too.
Luckily I haven’t met any truly bad or evil people
Better yet a group. One person isn’t enough honestly, things can go terribly wrong
That’s true, thanks for the advice. It’s a nice reminder right before I start college too in September.
Ohhh crap… yeah I would say so honestly 😅
No, I've always liked guys who are 2 or 3 years older than I am.
For relationships, of course. For biological attraction, no. We're all still animals, but some guys are good at coping and blocking out what they have no chance with.
Yeah but it changed at like 19
From what?
From being like just a couple of years older to much older.
I presume that change was after a breakup?
It was kind of just natural I think. I'd always kind of liked older men just from a physical attraction type thing but around 19 I kind of got to experience a couple of older guys.
As in much older than your previous experiences
Definitely
Nope, i have always preferred women under 25 because they are more ripe then women above 25.
Yeah. It weird how when you're young all women are attractive up to probably 50. But after 40 women over 40 are kind of gross to you.😆
Very true… it’s so odd
Yes. When I was younger I was only into older men but now I am into younger too
It keeps getting older LOL
Pretty common
