Do girls actually want a good guy or is that what dating is about anymore?

I was good to her and she was extremely verbally and physically abusive and it has made me question my whole idea on dating and if I even want to anymore

I don't think male mate selection criteria has changed for at least 20,000 years.

On the other hand, female mate selection criteria has changed dramatically; if they can think of it, than they want it. It is not good enough if you wear a black belt with brown shoes.

I think female mate selection criteria has become so extreme that it does encourage female verbal and possibly physical abuse. How dare you embarrass me by wearing a black belt and brown shoes to MY date.

There are genuine crazies and I am guessing you probably had one of genuine's. But she could have been highly entitled and she was crazy because you were constantly letting her down on her expectations.

We all have to look at girls on a COST-BENEFIT-RISK basis now and they don't seem to want to offer more than sex. Even 20,000 years ago we wanted more than that.

Every girl I ever dated always wanted to date a good guy. They realize that a guy does not have to be abusive to be a real man. I did know some girls that dated assholes that treated them like crap. These guys were not even good looking but they wanted them anyway. I guess they had bad self esteem.

I can't speak for ALL GIRLS, but yeah, I know how to appreciate a good guy, and yeah that's still SUPPOSED to be what dating is about. All the nasty games we read about here on G@G have been a serious shocker to me many a time.

Most women do want a good guy. Problem is most women have very warped ciew on what makes a good man. That's is why so many fail repeatedly.
