In movies from the 1940's and 1950's, a guy would take a girl to a restaurant, then get down on one knee and propose with a crowd on onlookers cheering then on. Yes, that is how I proposed to my then-gf in March, 2023. We were married on April 27 this year.
I never really proposed to my wife. We both just knew how it was going to end up. I thought it was pretty cool at the time but now I wish that I made a bigger deal about it.
During my family trip to Hawaii I tried to relax by emailing my boyfriend every night at the hotels I was staying at but it was a flop cause he did not check his email every day. One of the communication issues that led to our break up. This was the previous connection. The guy I talk to now is a lot more social.
I have definitely done the thing you posted in the image, but fuck if I remember the feeling of how it was or the rest of romantic shit, only if I see something similar I can recall that is has been done. I also have trouble recalling the feeling of it. It is like my memories are a bit blurry and/or distorted. For some reason when I break up I cannot recall nor experience the way I felt during the relationship. No clue why.
No. I would waaay overthink it and get distracted by what I was imitating instead of being in the moment. I'm thinking of the scene where Jack takes Rose "flying" on the bow of the Titanic... I'd never in a million years feel relaxed in that situation. Like, dude, if I fall, you're coming with me! :D
With my first boyfriend I did the thing that Clair Danes did to Jared Leto in My so called life. The kissing all over his face and my boyfriend was like wtf? You don't go from the lips then kiss up the face? Then he would bring it up randomly through out our relationship, even years later like I'm some weirdo that didn't know how to kiss, even though Im a much better kisser than he ever was 😂
For me its reverse, I had a romantic experience that if it were to be a movie people would rate the movie low because its to unbelievable. So didn't do anything specific from any movie, but the relationship had moments that exceeded movies.
He did. Forcefully 🥺 He tripped me and then caught me, like you see in couple dances. That catch and pose was romantic. But his approach was crap, he tripped me! 😂😂
Dancing in the night on the streets was awesome. Kissing under the umbrella in the pouring rain is awesome. Being in the pouring rain without the umbrella? Not so much.
I'm very romantic but I've never really watched TV or movies. Seems like such a major waste of time. So many people waste so much time watching TV and movies. Maybe that's why they don't have romance.

Grabbing my girl and slow dancing to I'll Be Seeing You by Billie Holiday.(From The Notebook)
https://www.youtube.com/embed/3C5zYKIuoxgI'm from California, and I have tried beach sex.
I don't care how many blankets you use, Anakin was right. The effing sand gets everywhere. It's gritty and abrasive and overall unpleasant.

Made brand new boyfriend a romantic dinner and and up in the hospital due him being allergic to ingredients in it 😮💨
Ouch. 😮🙁
Awww lol. Some of the best intentions pave the way to hell, here nearly killing him. It's the thought that counts! Now you know what he's allergic to!

I think most couples have tried the spider man kiss
naw. i think honestly if you try romance movie shit in real life, you'll end up being a creepy weirdo in most cases xD
True.
Why imitate the movie? That is more cringe than kid in a batman costume because you guys are adults 🤦
The cliché airport scene where the girl is running 'cause the guy is leaving soon. 🤣
I kissed a girl at the top of a hill on a moonlit October night. It wasn't like in the movies. It was so much better.
Yes kissing at the beach. but I didn’t do it as i was mad at that person.
i desesperetly ask my best friend to do the spaghetti eating scene in Lady and the trump (without the kiss) but he always refuse geez
