@embracethepain You contradicted yourself. On one dide you said no to straight guys and straight women being able to be just friends. On the flipside you said there are unique or rare circumstances but are not the norm which still means they still can be just friends.
no it's impossible and Gag in itself is enough proof for that. With every click on the newsfeed we see another "OMG! I thought we were friends but now he says he wants to fuck me! What do I do?" question
And the people that don't post that might not have that problem. I haven't told any friend that I want to fuck them. The only one that knows I want to fuck them is my girlfriend (she was a friend first).
Absolutely. I can easily be just friends with a woman. It’s actually easier for me to talk about certain things with girls, like love. (Love in general. Not with them.)
I was told it is not recommended since you end up, effectively, telling the other person they are ugly. It is kind of true. You can be friends first, but it leads to genitals (I can confirm that, and it was nice/good)
Yeah they can be , only if he doesn't have secret feelings for her and she doesn’t put him in that “ friendzone “ area where she believes he has secret feelings while he is not
I have been best friends with Jane for around 30 years and never had anything sexual, only a peck on the cheek, I don't expect that to alter. We are not sexually attracted to each other.

No, I personally do not think so.
Now there are unique or rare circumstances but these aren’t the norm at all.

I have guy friends who have been friends as far back as I can remember, and other guy friends who’ve always been platonic friends.
I can be friends with guys, but I’ve never had a guy friend who hasn’t sexualised me in one way or another..

If even women cannot be actual friends with each other then I doubt men will be able to do that any better.

Yes, of course. Why is hard to believe that straight men and straight women can be just friends?
Not as far as I can tell. I am open to the possibility, but I have never once seen that work in my own life.
If they've had sex with each other and still get along after deciding to stop having sex, sure.
I have a female best friend for over 30 years. That longer than my marriage
Yes, a lot of my friends are guys and we’ve never had any issues
I have had a guy friend since back in grade school. Nothing more. If he has ever had thoughts outside of friendship he has kept them to himself.

Yes they can. Sometimes it can get complicated thought.
i think no after a while feelings can change and if it's an unrequited change the disaster is inevitable.
I want to say yes but inevitably at least one catches feelings and then that’s game over
you know , if they are both single and spend so many quality times together , it is only matter of time until one of them develop a feeling
Only if they don’t have feelings for each other. If one person has feelings for the other that are not mutual then no.
