Why do people look down on Southeast Asian women's beauty?

This has been destroying my self-esteem for a long time. I just don't find any confidence to be pretty as a southeast Asian woman. I just feel like I can't be as pretty as others.

Well, I don't know, but I can share my opinion.

I am from cental Europe, from the country that is 99% white. There are quite few Asians here. That's why, Asian people, also Asian girls draw my attention. You could say I like Asian women then. You are very appealing for me. I would like to meet some Asian women, talk, learn new perspective. I don't have anything against Asian women. They are unique.

Also it is bad to say "I can't be as pretty as others". There's no need for you to compare yourself to others. You are you. Each of us is different and each of us can be beautiful, just in his/her own way.

You're not Southeast Asian. You may live there, but ethnically you look more like an Indian girl than SE Asian. True SE Asians look like THIS... and they're only looked down on by East Asians.

Ethnic is something you learn as you grow up and adapt to, so ethnically I'm malay because i practice malay cultures and traditions. By race, I'm only 1/4 indian, the rest is 3/4 malay. I appear to have strong indian gene, that's all, and shouldn't determine my ethnic. By race I identify myself as malay as both of my parents are malays. It's just the gene but ethnically I'm malay.

I have malay friends who directly have arab grandparents, but she looks fully indonesian. Can u determine her ethnic just by her generic look? No.

I have many malay friends who have foreign grandparents, but not all look foreign. They just don't have strong foreign gene. If they have strong foreign gene, will their ethnic not be malay even though they practice malay cultures and traditions and speak malay? No, they are malay.

I know malays who don't have any foreign ancestry but have persian look. They are malays.

I know malays who have pakistani grandparents, we still say she's malay. Ethnically she is malay, racially she's mixed.
