Dating is not a combat sport

When I look in the "dating" section here, many of the posts are about sex, looks, cheating, and tricking people into doing your bidding.

Dating should be about selecting a life partner, not tricking a girl into sex, or tricking a guy into dropping $750 on a meal and a show for nothing in return.

People online (happily none I know in person) seem to think that dating is a form of combat sport, where opposing forces enter an arena, and at the end of the night there is a clear winner and loser.

I got 3 guys to spend over $2000 on me tonight, and I didn't give it up ONCE!

I had 3 chicks this weekend, and there are 3 more waiting in my DMs!

I got a girl to come over to my house for Netflix and chill, and she even paid for the take out!

Winners and losers. I win. You lose.

Who's the real loser? Everyone who plays this stupid, short-sighted game! Think about when you're shriveled and old. Say, you're the GOAT man or woman at this game.

Say, a guy has had 10,000 girls and never dropped a penny on any of them. Winner? All alone with thousands of women hating him?

Say a girl got hundreds of guys to pay for meals and buy her cars and pay her bills. But now she's old and there are no men who want her and no kids to love her.

Yeah, they had a lot of exciting weekends, but they were users. They are hated. They are alone.

If you can't look at yourself not only as a infant does (what do I demand RIGHT NOW!), but instead see yourself as a person in the past, present, and FUTURE, then all your scheming is for nothing. Will 80 year old you thank 25 year old you for boffing 60 guys a year, or nailing 100 girls on Spring Break? No. You're actually harming the happiness and well-being of old you.

Dating is not about sex and extracting dollars. It's about setting up a future where two people can be reasonably happy, love and support each other, and support bringing new life into this crazy, mixed-up world. It's not a cage match to see how bad you can eff your opponent up.

Sex is not love but sex can be love , if you both choose each other. Most relationships fail because most people have selfish mindsets that think they deserve better than what they already have. in front of them , Social media played a big part on damaging people’s mindsets by feeding our brains with shit that shouldn’t really matter to us. Everyone is a cheater , everyone back stabs and betrays etc.. Most people jump into relationships without looking at the big picture , they are just infatuated with each other but when push comes to shove and things no longer go their way? They throw in the towel and move on to someone else instead of fixing what is broken. Most people think Grass is greener on the other side , but if they watered the grass they are already standing on? they wouldn’t have these problems or issues they are facing. The key to a happy relationship is to learn how to remove selfishness for your partner the same way you want your partner doing for you , it isn’t always going to be perfect but if you choose each other? It will get perfect again.

Plenty of people don't want to be vulnerable because most relationships are bullshit and you invest yourself only to get betrayed again and again. I don't blame people for wanting to keep their emotional distance.
