Me, being a rather direct guy, I find it very common that women can be very interested as long as I remain somewhat mysterious about both my intentions and who I am. But as soon as I speak plainly about, feelings, intentions or my flaws and my journey. Interests drops hard.

It feels like many do like the thrill and tension. Like they don't really want to know what makes me tick or what has shaped me.
They may very well like to explore and experience my presence but they like their fantasy about who I am much more than the truth.

While “forbidden” or “niche” things is a temptation (from Eve’s Apple to Steve Jobs’ Apple) has a certain appeal, to think that logic and other things don’t play a role in what attracts us is a little… skewed.


Human beings are delightfully diverse and complex. I don’t think there’s just one type of draw for all human beings.


Needy human beings easily fall prey to this sort of thing because they’ve gone through trauma and got stuck in weak moments, but it’s rather easy to pull out of it if you set your mind to it.

For me I don’t think any perceived thrill from a sneaky liaison could ever pave the path to love. Love is deeper than that for me. Thrill to some extent in my mind is chemical in that scenario but somehow for me that’s on the surface and love is a deeper more profound connection. Really interesting question though , thanks 😊

Probably. The whole point of the sneaky link is that it's an exciting fantasy. The person, even though you're having sex with them is only ever your escape in the heat of the moment. You don't get the chance to see what the person is like on a day to day basis,

Well, love is a strange and mysterious thing, innit? It's like the smell of a rotting fish mixed with a stale urine and a hint of sewage - you can't control who you fall for, even if they're just a sneaky link. But hey, some people (myself) can't resist the allure of a pungent body odor or the stench of a durian fruit, so who's to say what will make someone fall madly in love with the girl whose armpit you inhale deeply.
