Possibly and here's why: In my area, we have a few smaller towns and cities that are satellites of the largest city in the region. It's often normal to drive there and it's a daily commute for many people. I could do a few other things if I needed to while I was over there or if we didn't hit it off. It's not a big deal for me because I am accustomed to an hour long drive fairly frequently.

Is "the guy's location" his house? I'd never go to a guy's house on a first date unless I'd known him for years. Or just the date location is an hour? Is it an hour for him too, like we live two hours away from each other? That's pushing it. If for some reason the location is near him but not for me, that's fine about half the time.

NO LOL 🤣
He has to drive over to me. He’s the male. And the male is the provider.
Specially with todays gas prices….
I refuse to drive over to an idiotic male of low IQ , with high gas prices. Its ridiculous!
You need to have ZERO SELF ESTEEM to drive an hour to some guy.
I'd suggest a half way place if possible.
The weirdo toxic lady with the "he's a provider" drivel was worth clicking this question to laugh at though.
If I talked to him on the phone or video called to see if there was a real interest between us sure, why not? But he is paying for the meal lol
Sure why not? As long we are meeting public there is nothing wrong with it. I'd expect him to do the same though if there were more dates in the future etc.
Yes I did that once. Only because I was serious for the guy. Also the good guys all seem to live really far away so only fuckboys in my city are close to me.
Depends if he’s also driving an hour, I’d meet him halfway but never going to them on a first date
An hour? Sure I would have made that in 15 min on a bike...
What? No. Why are you going to him? Already setting you up to get trained of all your resources. This guy is a taker and that's a doormat test.
I flew across the country for a first date... we have now been together 2 and a half years. Even though it's been long distance, it was the best decision I've made in a long time. ;)
Heck no. He and I will be meeting in a public place.
