It doesn't really give me hope, quite the opposite really. It more makes me wonder what it is about me that's so unattractive if it's not my looks. And if I bring it up with friends or family, all I get are positive affirmations, which isn't what I'm looking for.

There is a lot of talk about "average" looking or "average" people going on today. I am going to reply similarly to the last one I answered. Please define to me what an average looking person looks like. You really can't because what is average looking to you (in terms of a girl) is subjective. It is YOUR opinion of them. Is the next guy going to have the same opinion that the girl is average or above average or dare I say... hot? Of course that is going to happen because we all judge beauty differently. That is where the phrase beauty is in the eye of the beholder comes from. What one person finds attractive the next won't.

For F sake. I’m so sick of people thinking their opinions about average and pretty are facts. They are not. They are just your opinion. What’s pretty or average looking to you may not be to another.
There are people out there who find Jennifer Aniston attractive and pretty and other people out there who never liked her looks. Beauty is subjective.

When a person is attractive, not everyone of course finds him/her attractive but still majority do.. unlike the case of average people
For example number of women who find Henry cavil "not" attractive is less , probably less than the number of women who find a random average man as attractive

The last part of the paragraph “people who find you attractive are rare” sounded to me like you were trying to say I’m not pretty.
I’m not a mind reader and haven’t done any polls but I am already aware it’s likely not everyone thinks I’m pretty and I am fine with that. I don’t want to be attractive to every man. I’m not attracted to African, East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Thai) features and Indian features and they make up a high percentage of this world. I haven’t really lost anything if a man I don’t find attractive doesn’t think I’m pretty. Most people don’t want to have relationship with someone they have no physical attraction to. Do I care what a man I have no interest and no physical attraction towards think about my looks? Nope.

I’m mostly attracted to Arab, Turkish and Middle Eastern looks in men.

Why do you believe beauty isn’t subjective?

Facts mean objective. Like a bowling ball is heavier than a feather that is a fact and nobody can say otherwise. Nobody can think or say otherwise because it’s just a fact. Not subjective.

If 80 percent vote a woman is pretty that still means it’s subjective because there are other people 20 percent who thinks she isn’t.

Yes I agree Beauty is subjective but I personally also think that if as you said, 80% or more think that a person is attractive then I think that's better than being an average person who probably only less than 20% think is "Attractive"

Nobody can think a feather is heavier than a bowling ball because it’s not a matter of opinion. A bowling ball is objectively and factually heavier than a feather.

Some people think Jennifer Aniston is pretty and attractive and other people have never liked her looks. People can have different opinions about people’s physical appearance because it’s subjective.

My point is just that Chicken and sushi are very popular and most people love them... unlike say for example a plain cucumber which hardly anyone likes..(even people who eat it do not eat it because they like it, they're just trying to be healthy)
