My girlfriend is confused about me and another guy

Question

I have been with my girlfriend for 5 and a half years, we've lived together for 4 years. A few days after xmas she tells me she thinks I should move out, but still be together. Then a coule days later she spends the evening with a guy she works with, I find out later that she slept with him, and has done so a few times since, even spent the night with him, strangely that part doesn't bother me to much.. she says that she is confused and doesn't know which of us she wants to be with. I know she has her doubts about the ther guy We still live together, but I am looking for another place in hopes that spending some time apart will strengthen our relationship. I really don't know what to think.

the best thing for you to do is leave. It will obvious be hard after 5 1/2 years but if she is interested in other guys it isn't a good sign. I would ask if the relationship was worth saving but the facct that she cheated on you, or slept with the other guy after a short period of time says it all. No. I know it will be hard but realize she isn't ready she still is confused about who she is and what she wants in life. I suggest you accept the fact it is over, cut off all contact with her, and let her go figure herself out.

Now focus on figuring yourself out. Can you support yourself? Focus on your job. What types of hobbies do you have? find a social gathering that involves these hobbies. Focus on making your life alone more exciting. You will eventually make some new friends. Also, if you have, spend more time with family. I broke up just over a year ago with a girl I was with for 6.5 years. It was hard but focusing on myself and continuing to be a great guy was the best thing I could have done. Be kind when you cut things off. Handle things maturely. In years to come you will be happy you did.

When girls do this its usualy because she wants both of you at her disposal!

She is a player!

After 4 years if she is not sure and she cheats and still is not sure she is not the one or even close!

That is not cool or fair to you in anyway!

She is using you in case the other guy doesn't want her she will come back to you!

Sorry I don't mean for this to be harsh.. but that is so mean of her!

Doesn't sound good. Clearly there's something wrong with the relationship. The fact that she's sleeping with another guy is an indication of that. And it doesn't really bother you? Why not? I don't think time apart will help, unless you both figure out what is wrong with your relationship to begin with and seriously work on that. Time apart may make you miss each other, but it doesn't solve the problems there might be.
