Just a question. I'm finding them to be less and less important as other things begin taking presidency in my life. Like I'm 21in 4 hours and I just want them to quit saying it already. Am I just a shrude or do other feel this way
When you get married your wife's birthday will be the important one. When you have children their birthdays will be above your wife's. So your birthday gets forgotten. You will have to save money for your wife's and children's birthday gifts, and if you have any money left over for yourself that means you didn't spend enough on your wife or children.
birthdays have been like so shit once I got to 12 ! everyones like oh what you going to do for your birthday next year? I'm like em what its next june I'm not even thinking about that . I hate birthdays I don't even tell anyone when its my birthday there bloody over rated !. I stil want the presents though.lol
The magic isn't really there for me anymore, because honestly, it is just another day. I don't even draw attention to myself or the fact that it's my birthday. When I was a kid, it was all about getting presents, but now, I'm fine just getting a 'happy birthday' from my friends.
At the same time, I like getting older. I was thrilled when I turned 21 and I look forward to turning 22. It seems like all of my friends hate getting older (or being reminded about it), but I don't see what's so bad.
Haha no I think as we get older we kinda feel that way. I like and hate it when people greet me on my bday. I like it because it makes me feel special knowing that other people actually remember my bday, but I hate it because it reminds me of how OLD I am :( You're not old so maybe you are just annoyed by all the attention they give u. I mean, who wants attention right :p

Anyway, I found that on my last birthday, but then again I'm 16. Do you find that the same thing happens with Christmas? It may just be that you're a tad world-weary and the novelty and magic that so engrosses others is lost on you. I'll bet you get really annoyed when people talk about how such and such a day will be great, be it yours or someone else's birthday. That's what I get like, anyway.
